Who we are

Edme-habesha Technologies Ltd. (“we”, “us”) operates the Edme-habesha mobile application and this website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact: support@edmehabesha.app.

What we collect

Your name, email, country and profile photo (from email sign-up, Google or Apple); celebrations you create; gifts and blessings you send or receive (text, voice recordings and their transcripts); wallet transactions, top-ups and payouts; optional dates to remember; and a device token if you enable notifications.

How we use it

To run the service: deliver gifts and blessings, convert currencies, show receipts and guest books, send reminders you opted into, prevent fraud and provide support. Voice blessings are transcribed and blessings may be translated or read aloud using AI providers acting on our behalf.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal. We never store your full card number. We keep payment references and amounts for your receipts.

Sharing

Celebration pages, blessing walls and shared links are visible to anyone with the link, but gift amounts and totals are only ever shown to the host. Guests see blessings the host has chosen to share. Hosts can see who sent each gift unless you choose to send anonymously. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention & deletion

You can delete your account any time from Profile → Delete my account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. We remove your profile details, revoke sessions and close your celebrations; gift records needed for the recipient's financial history are kept in anonymised form. Payment references required by law are kept for up to 7 years.

Blessings & community safety

Blessings are shared only on the celebration they were sent to. Anyone can report a blessing from its menu; reported blessings are hidden immediately and the host is asked to review them. Hosts can hide any blessing, require approval before blessings appear, and block a sender. We review reports and remove content that is abusive, hateful or unlawful, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly misuse the service.

Notifications

Push notifications are optional and controlled in Profile → Notifications. You can turn each category off at any time or disable them in your device settings.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with access controls. Passwords are stored as salted hashes.

Children

Edme-habesha is not directed at children and you must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict processing, by using the in-app controls or emailing support@edmehabesha.app. We respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date. Last updated: June 2026.
