Delete your account

You can delete your Edme-habesha account and the data linked to it at any time. Deletion is permanent. This page is public and does not require the app or a login.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

1. Open Edme-habesha and log in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Scroll down and tap “Delete my account”.
4. Withdraw any remaining wallet balance first if asked, then confirm.

Your account is deactivated immediately and personal data is removed as described below.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

If you can no longer access the app or your device, email us from the address you signed up with. We verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, profile photo and sign-in links (email/password, Google, Apple)
• Your active sessions, device push tokens and notification settings
• Dates to remember and any scheduled gifts (refunded to your wallet before deletion)
• Your celebrations are closed and removed from public pages

What is retained, and why

• Gift and payout records that the recipient needs for their financial history — kept in anonymised form (your name is replaced with “Deleted user”)
• Payment references required by law (anti-fraud and accounting) for up to 7 years
